The All New BlackBerry Priv Gets Scratched, Burnt, And Bent In This Durability Test [VIDEO]

Been wondering just how durable the BlackBerry Priv is? Me too. But there’s no damn way I’m putting my Priv through any torture tests to find out. Luckily, I don’t have to though as YouTuber JerryRigEverything has taken one for the team and ran one through the gamut of tests including scratching it, burning it and of course, the ever so popular now bend test.

The video is downright cringe-worthy, especially if you’re wanting a Priv but still haven’t got your hands on one. However, the results are kind of interesting. Some areas of the device fail as expected such as the plastic in the fact it’s easily scratched and bending the device is pretty much killing it, but other areas such as the Gorilla Glass 4 display and keyboard hold up pretty well.

Needless to say, this sort of torture isn’t exactly typical, and when all things are considered, I think the Priv held up fairly well. Go ahead and hit play on the video if you want to see how it fares out for yourself. Don’t try this at home, kids!
