Robotic Process Automation, also known as RPA, is a technology that is here to change the workforce forever. Believe it or not, RPA has the potential to revolutionize offices all around the globe, all through the use of software robots. These software robots have been created with a state of the art technology that allows them to handle mundane clerical tasks that are currently performed by ordinary office workers, who are more than likely becoming sick of the repetitive and dull nature of it.

There are many different uses for RPA, but a few main benefits include providing a better-quality service for customers, lower running costs and greater productivity. Employees will find themselves focusing on more enjoyable tasks that allow them to stretch their creativity, rather than being tied down from mundane jobs that take far too much time out of the day.

As it currently stands, there are 50% of automation opportunities being missed, but 55% of executives plan to use RPA in the future. Robotic process automation is soon going to be considered the norm in the working world – we’ll soon be wondering how we coped without it!

The main difference between RPA and any other automation is the fact that RPA will not completely banish people of their existing jobs. The software can be implemented without any modifications to the applications or systems being automated. One form of RPA is known as desktop automation. This is deployed locally on a user’s desktop or laptop. The software is easy to deploy at reasonably low costs; it carries out automated actions by being initiated through demand or against schedule.
