Unfortunately, you can’t simply share something and expect millions of people to suddenly click on what you’ve shared and comment. You have to engage with your target audience as well as share useful and engaging posts. Commenting on and sharing other people’s articles, pictures, videos and more will drive them to see what you have got to share on your profile. This counts for all types of social media including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and many more.
A great way to ensure the word about what you do gets about is to include keywords. Think about what other people would search for if they were looking for your content and use those keywords. Success on Pinterest for example, is based on keywords because it’s basically a glorified search engine. If someone sees something they like and you’ve uploaded it to one of your boards, they will read it and repin it if they found it useful, or to come back to at a later date. If you’re not sure on keywords, why not consider using a keyword tool to help you along the way.
The time of day that you post to each social media platform will make all the difference in how much engagement you get from other people. There have been many studies for each platform to discover what time of the day people tend to log on to which one. Do some research and find out what time of day to post to each of the social media sites.
Of course, all of this is very time consuming. Luckily there are apps and programs that can help you schedule all of your posts for the day, and you can even specify what time you want certain things to be posted and where you want it to go too.
