New Display & Sync Options In The Latest Update To ReadItNow!

I am always glad when one of my favorite apps receives an update. This time around it is ReadItNow!. There hasn’t been an update to the app for a while as the developer had other side projects but he has now returned to working on improving and updating all of his apps. A couple of new features have been added to this latest ReadItNow! update, as well as fixes and improvements.

What’s new in ReadItNow! v6.9.0?

• NEW: download text and images on wifi only (optional)
• NEW: show excerpt in article list (optional)
• IMPROVED: re-worked the add article page
• IMPROVED: less internal database updates
• FIXED: marking articles as read/unread in offline mode
• FIXED: old app cover after reading an article
• REMOVED: share to Springpad

If you don’t know what ReadItNow is all about, it is a third party Pocket app. Pocket is a ‘read it later’ service which allows you to save articles for later reading. Signing up for a Pocket account is free and it is required to use ReadItNow. The app is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices and usually costs $1.99 but if you have already purchased ReadItNow, the update is free. However, ReadItNow! is currently on sale for $0.99.
